To a solution of methyl 5-(aminomethyl)-2-chlorobenzoate hydrochloride (2.50 g,10.59 mmol) in THF (20 mL) were added DIPEA (4.78 g, 37.07 mmol) andisobutyryl chloride (1.70 g, 15.89 mmol).
