Xie, Pan;Shi, Sanshan;Hu, Xueqing;Xue, Cheng;Du, Dongdong research published 《 Sunlight Photocatalytic Synthesis of Aryl Hydrazides by Decatungstate-Promoted Acylation under Room Temperature》, the research content is summarized as follows. A sunlight photocatalytic synthesis of aryl hydrazides RC(O)N(Boc)NHBoc (R = 2-methylphenyl, 4-bromophenyl, naphthalen-2-yl, etc.) was achieved via a decatungstate-promoted addition process of aromatic aldehydes RCHO to di-tert-Bu azodicarboxylate. Aryl hydrazides can be produced in good to excellent yields under room temperature, even if the reaction was carried out as ”window ledge” mode. This process is easy to be operated and no addnl. additives are needed, which makes the practicability and application value increase obviously.

Yang, Qiaomu;Wang, Yu-Heng;Qiao, Yusen;Gau, Michael;Carroll, Patrick J.;Walsh, Patrick J.;Schelter, Eric J. research published 《 Photocatalytic C-H activation and the subtle role of chlorine radical complexation in reactivity》, the research content is summarized as follows. The functionalization of methane, ethane, and other alkanes derived from fossil fuels is a central goal in the chem. enterprise. Recently, a photocatalytic system comprising [CeIVCl5(OR)]2- [CeIV, cerium(IV); OR, -OCH3 or -OCCl2CH3] was disclosed. The system was reportedly capable of alkane activation by alkoxy radicals (RO•) formed by CeIV -OR bond photolysis. In this work, we present evidence that the reported carbon-hydrogen (C-H) activation of alkanes is instead mediated by the photocatalyst [NEt4]2[CeCl6] (NEt4+, tetraethylammonium), and RO• are not intermediates. Spectroscopic analyses and kinetics were investigated for C-H activation to identify chlorine radical (Cl•) generation as the rate-limiting step. D. functional theory calculations support the formation of [Cl•][alc.] adducts when alcs. are present, which can manifest a masked RO• character. This result serves as an important cautionary note for interpretation of radical trapping experiments

Xia, Zi-Lei;Zheng, Chao;Xu, Ren-Qi;You, Shu-Li research published 《 Chiral phosphoric acid catalyzed aminative dearomatization of α-naphthols/Michael addition sequence》, the research content is summarized as follows. Asym. dearomatization reactions have recently emerged as a powerful tool for the rapid build-up of the mol. complexity. Chiral three-dimensional polycyclic mols. bearing contiguous stereogenic centers can be synthesized from readily available planar aromatic feedstocks. Herein, an intermol. asym. dearomatization reaction of α-naphthols I (R = 6-OMe, 7-Me, 8-CN, etc.) bearing a tethered nucleophile at the C4 position of the naphthol ring is reported using a chiral phosphoric acid as catalyst. The reaction proceeds via a highly chemo- and regioselective aminative dearomatization/Michael addition sequence, affording a wide array of functionalized cyclic ketones e.g II (Nu = O, NTs, NCO2Me, etc.) in good yields (up to 93%) with excellent enantioselectivity (up to >99% ee). The catalyst loading can be reduced to 0.1 mol%. Preliminary mechanistic investigations identify that the enantioselectivity is established in the dearomatization step, while the Michael addition is the rate-limiting step. A working model accounting for the origin of the stereochem. is proposed based on DFT calculations

Wu, Bin;Wang, Jianing;Liu, Xingchen;Zhu, Rong research published 《 Bicyclo[2.2.0]hexene derivatives as a proaromatic platform for group transfer and chemical sensing》, the research content is summarized as follows. Here the design, preparation, synthetic utility, and sensing application of a class of proarom. structures, namely bicyclo[2.2.0]hexene (BCHs) derivatives I [R = allyl, i-Pr, Bn, etc.] was reported. Building on a valence isomerism concept, they featured modular and easy synthesis as well as high thermal stability, and could be oxidatively activated under mild conditions. New alkyl transfer reactions using BCHs as a radical donor were developed to showcase the utility of their proaromaticity. Moreover, the redox-triggered valence isomerization of a quinoline-derived BCH led to colorimetric and fluorescent responses toward vapors of electrophilic reagents in solution and solid phase, resp. This optical response was showed to involved a 1,3-cyclohexadiene structure that possesses an intramol. charge transfer excited state with interesting aggregation induced emission (AIE) character. Thus, the potential of BCHs was demonstrated as a versatile platform for the development of new reagents and functional materials.

Building block in an enantioselective synthesis of 3,6-dihyropyridazines employing organocatalysts such a L-proline or (S)-2-pyrrolidinyl tetrazole. Utilized in the asymmetric Friedel-Crafts amination via a chiral organocatalyst.
Di-tert-butyl azodicarboxylate is a reagent used in the preparation of acyl hydrazinedicarboxylates via photoorganocatalytic hydroacylation of dialkyl azodicarboxylates with aldehydes in presence of phenylglyoxylic acid as photocatalyst., 870-50-8.

Glycerides are fatty acid esters of glycerol; they are important in biology, being one of the main classes of lipids and comprising the bulk of animal fats and vegetable oils. 870-50-8, formula is C10H18N2O4, Name is Di-tert-butyl diazene-1,2-dicarboxylate. Esters typically have a pleasant smell; those of low molecular weight are commonly used as fragrances and are found in essential oils and pheromones. Recommanded Product: Di-tert-butyl diazene-1,2-dicarboxylate.

Wong, Marie L. J.;Mousseau, James J.;Mansfield, Steven J.;Anderson, Edward A. research published 《 Synthesis of Enantioenriched α-Chiral Bicyclo[1.1.1]pentanes》, the research content is summarized as follows. Bicyclo[1.1.1]pentanes (BCPs), useful surrogates for para-substituted arenes, alkynes, and tert-Bu groups in medicinal chem., are challenging to prepare when featuring stereogenic centers adjacent to the BCP. The authors report the development of an efficient route to α-chiral BCPs, via highly diastereoselective asym. enolate functionalization. The authors also describe the application of this chem. to the synthesis of BCP analogs of phenylglycine and tarenflurbil, the single enantiomer of the NSAID flurbiprofen.
