Common copathogenic factors, including oxidative stress and neuroinflammation, are found to play a vital role in the development of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson’s disease (PD). Hybrid 5 also showed neuroprotective effects in a C. elegans model of PD where the activation of GSK-3β is intimately involved in Nrf2 regulation.
