On September 30, 2022, Chang, Haoya; Li, Jian; Zhang, Chunhui; Qian, Weiping published an article.Recommanded Product: 6197-30-4 The title of the article was Octocrylene exposure impairs mouse oocyte quality by inducing spindle defects and mitochondria dysfunction. And the article contained the following:

One of organic UV filters, Octocrylene (OCL), is mainly used in various cosmetic products, which is being frequently detected in soil, sediment, aquatic systems and food chain. There is evidence confirmed the reproductive toxicity of OCL in Japanese medaka. However, less was known about the effects of OCL exposure on oocyte quality. Here, we investigated the impacts of OCL on mouse oocyte maturation and quality by exposing oocytes to OCL in vitro at concentrations of 8, 22, 30, 40 and 50 nM. The results showed that OCL markedly reduced mouse oocyte germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) at 50 nM and polar body extrusion (PBE) rates at 40 and 50 nM. OCL exposure further disrupted spindle assembly and chromosome alignment, finally inducing aneuploid. Mitochondrial function was also damaged by OCL exposure, leading to ROS overproduction and apoptosis in oocytes. Moreover, OCL treatment impaired the distribution of cortical granules and sperm binding ability of oocytes. In summary, these data demonstrated that OCL could disturb the oocyte meiotic maturation and reduce oocyte quality. The experimental process involved the reaction of 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate(cas: 6197-30-4).Recommanded Product: 6197-30-4

The study aimed to examine whether usnic acid-a lichen compound with UV-absorbing properties-can be considered as a prospective photoprotective agent in cosmetic products. Moreover, a comparison of two usnic acid enantiomers was performed to preselect the more effective compound To meet this aim, an in vitro model was created, comprising the determination of skin-penetrating properties via skin-PAMPA assay, safety assessment to normal human skin cells (keratinocytes, melanocytes, fibroblasts), and examination of photostability and photoprotective properties. Both enantiomers revealed comparable good skin-penetrating properties. Left-handed usnic acid was slightly more toxic to keratinocytes (IC50 80.82 and 40.12 μg/mL, after 48 and 72 h, resp.) than its right-handed counterpart. The latter enantiomer, in a cosmetic formulation, was characterized by good photoprotective properties and photostability, comparable to the UV filter octocrylene. Perhaps most interestingly, (+)-usnic acid combined with octocrylene in one formulation revealed enhanced photoprotection and photostability. Thus, the strategy can be considered for the potential use of (+)-usnic acid as a UV filter in cosmetic products. Moreover, the proposed model may be useful for the evaluation of candidates for UV filters. And the article contained the following:

Most organic UV filters are very lipophilic and some of them are difficult to quantify in the environment. This article describes an optimization method for the quantification of these compounds in sand samples with diverse compositions The standard additions method was used. The search for a unique high-performance liquid chromatog. method to analyze all these filters along with the search for optimal detection conditions are presented in detail. The best extraction solvent was methanol, and the best conditions for anal. and detection involved the use of a high-performance liquid chromatog. system equipped with a biphenyl column (2.6μm, 150 x 4.6 mm), and an Orbitrap MS detector. We also demonstrated that sample freeze-drying can induce significant loss of some of the UV filters. The Article related to multimedia distribution pharmaceutical personal care product bioaccummulation, bioaccummulation, multimedia distribution, ppcps, tibetan plateau, trophic transfer, Water: Other and other aspects.Application of 6197-30-4

On February 15, 2021, Sun, Yu; Lu, Guanghua; Li, Jin; Dang, Tianjian; Xue, Chenwang; Liu, Jianchao; Yan, Zhenhua published an article.Application of 6197-30-4 The title of the article was Multimedia distribution and trophic transfer of PPCPs in the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River. And the article contained the following:

The increasing human presence is having an impact on plateau ecosystems, but the special environment and lack of data make it difficult to assess the real ecol. risks of pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) in the river of plateau. The occurrence, distribution and trophic transfer of nineteen PPCPs were investigated in the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River on the Tibetan Plateau. All the targeted PPCPs were detected in filtrated water, and seventeen PPCPs were detected in the colloid, sediment and suspended particulate matter (SPM). The distribution coefficients of colloid-infiltration water (IFW) were 1-2 orders of magnitude larger than those in the SPM-IFW, which were 1-2 orders of magnitude greater than those in the sediment-IFW. Colloids are sinks for PPCPs with up to 78.55% of the water being in the colloidal phase, in which important factors such as protein and protein-like substances are found. PPCPs in the rivers of the plateau showed high bioaccumulation ability. The fugacity-based bioaccumulation model was established and revealed that the fish in the Tibetan Plateau ingested PPCPs mainly through water instead of food and excreted them mainly through metabolism In addition, the trophic dilution effect in the food web was observed with trophic magnification factors ranging from 0.06 to 0.22. The pos. correlation between the Kd in the colloid-IFW and the bioaccumulation factors implied that natural colloids can not only regulate the behavior of PPCPs in the environment, but also play an important role in bioaccumulation, which may affect the scientific nature of biol. risk assessment. The Article related to review organic uv filter aquatic environment endocrine disruption potential, aquatic ecosystem, endocrine disruption, human population, thyroid, uv filters, Water: Reviews and other aspects.Formula: C24H27NO2

On September 30, 2021, Kwon, Bareum; Choi, Kyungho published an article.Formula: C24H27NO2 The title of the article was Occurrence of major organic UV filters in aquatic environments and their endocrine disruption potentials: A mini-review. And the article contained the following:

A review. Organic UV filters are frequently used in daily life, and hence are ubiquitously detected in the aquatic environment worldwide. Most monitoring efforts and toxicol. studies are, however, limited to a few chems. like benzophenone-3 (BP-3). In the present study, we chose other major organic UV filters, such as avobenzone (AVB), homosalate (HS), octisalate (OS), and octocrylene (OC), and reviewed information on their use, environmental occurrences, and endocrine disruption effects, available to date. Organic UV filters are used in high volume in many consumer applications, not only in sunscreen products but also in cosmetics, personal care products, home products, and food packaging. Environmental monitoring worldwide reveals that recreational coastal waters are among the hot spots of their contamination. An increasing number of exptl. studies indicate that organic UV filters such as octinoxate (OMC), AVB, and HS may cause disruptions in sex hormones. Avobenzene and OMC can also influence thyroid function in exptl. models. Observations in human population are rarely made, but OMC and OC have been associated with decreased androgenicity and increase of polycystic ovary syndrome, resp. Further investigations are warranted to fill the knowledge gaps identified in the present study, to help develop relevant safety screening measures for organic UV filters. And the article contained the following:

A review. Due to the extensive use and pseudo-persistence of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs), they are frequently detected in the aqueous environment, which has attracted global attention. In this paper, accumulation data of 81 PPCPs in surface water or sediment in China were reported. In addition, 20 kinds of PPCPs with high frequency were selected and their ecol. risk assessment was conducted by risk quotient (RQs). The results indicated that the concentration detected in surface water and sediment ranged from ng/L (ng/kg) to μg/L ( μg/kg) in China, which was similar to concentrations reported globally. However, contamination by certain PPCPs, such as caffeine, oxytetracycline, and erythromycin, was relatively high with a maximum concentration of more than 2000 ng/L in surface water. RQs revealed that 14 kinds of PPCPs pose no significant risk or low risk to aquatic organisms, while 6 kinds of PPCPs pose a high risk. Addnl., the pollution characteristics of PPCPs in each watershed are different. The Haihe River watershed and the central and lower Yangtze River were the regions of high concern for erythromycin. Triclosan has potential risks in the Pearl River watershed. This study determined the occurrence and risk of PPCPs in China in the past decade, providing a scientific basis for PPCPs pollution control and risk prevention. The Article related to zinc aluminum nickel titanium alloy fiber solid phase microextraction, Water: Analysis and other aspects.Name: 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate

On January 31, 2020, An, Chanchan; Liu, Yu; Wang, Feifei; Zhang, Rong; Du, Junliang; Du, Xinzhen published an article.Name: 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate The title of the article was A new strategy for enhanced fabrication of flake-like zinc-aluminum layered double hydroxide on nickel-titanium alloy fiber for highly efficient solid-phase microextraction of ultraviolet filters. And the article contained the following:

A new flake-like zinc-aluminum layered double hydroxide (ZnAl-LDH) coating was firmly fabricated on a superelastic nickel-titanium alloy (NiTi) wire. Herein, the NiTi wire was hydrothermally treated for the in-situ growth of nickel and titanium oxide nanoflakes (NiTiONFs) and used as a fiber support for subsequent growth of ZnAl-LDH nanoflakes. The resulting coating was able to selectively extract the studied UV filters (UVFs) more effectively and quickly in comparison with the com. polyacrylate and polydimethylsiloxane fibers. This fiber shows long recycling lifetime due to the ZnAl-LDH coating embedded into the active NiTiONFs support with high mech. stability. For this purpose, main exptl. parameters including temperature, stirring rate, extraction and desorption time, and ionic strength were investigated and optimized in detail. Under the optimized conditions, good linearity was obtained for the developed SPME-HPLC-UV method with the NiTi@NiTiONFs@ZnAl-LDH fiber. Limits of detection were between 0.009 μg L-1 and 0.052 μg L-1 for five UVFs. Intra-day and inter-day relative standard deviations (RSDs) for single fiber repeatability were less than 6.4% and 6.6% for five replicate extractions of UVFs at the spiking level of 50 μg L-1. RSDs for fiber-to-fiber reproducibility varied from 6.3% to 6.9%. The developed method was successfully used for the determination of UVFs in snow water, river water and wastewater samples. The relative recoveries of 80.1%-109% were achieved. Thus the developed method could be potentially applied to selective enrichment and determination of UVFs in different environmental water samples. On January 1, 2021, Boyd, Aaron; Stewart, Connor B.; Philibert, Danielle A.; How, Zuo Tong; El-Din, Mohamed Gamal; Tierney, Keith B.; Blewett, Tamzin A. published an article.Recommanded Product: 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate The title of the article was Effect of organic ultraviolet absorbing compounds from PCPs on Daphnia magna. And the article contained the following:

UV filters are compounds utilized in many manufacturing processes and personal care products (PCPs) such as sunscreen to protect against UV-radiation. These highly lipophilic compounds are emerging contaminants of concern in aquatic environments due to their previously observed potential to bioaccumulate and exert toxic effects in marine ecosystems. Currently, research into the toxic effects of UV filter contamination of freshwater ecosystems is lacking, thus the present study sought to model the effects of acute and chronic developmental exposures to UV filters avobenzone, oxybenzone and octocrylene as well as a mixture of these substances in the freshwater invertebrate, Daphnia magna, at environmentally realistic concentrations Median 48-h effect and lethal concentrations were determined to be in the low mg/L range, with the exception of octocrylene causing 50% immobilization near environmental concentrations 48-h acute developmental exposures proved to behaviorally impair daphnid phototactic response; however, recovery was observed following a 19-day post-exposure period. Although no physiol. disruptions were detected in acutely exposed daphnids, delayed mortality was observed up to seven days post-exposure at 200μg/L of avobenzone and octocrylene. 21-day chronic exposure to 7.5μg/L octocrylene yielded complete mortality within 7 days, while sublethal chronic exposure to avobenzone increased Daphnia reproductive output and decreased metabolic rate. 2μg/L oxybenzone induced a 25% increase in metabolic rate of adult daphnids, and otherwise caused no toxic effects at this dose. These data indicate that UV filters can exert toxic effects in freshwater invertebrates, therefore further study is required. It is clear that the most well-studied UV filter, oxybenzone, may not be the most toxic to Daphnia, as both avobenzone and octocrylene induced behavioral and physiol. disruption at environmentally realistic concentrations The experimental process involved the reaction of 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate(cas: 6197-30-4).Recommanded Product: 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate

On June 20, 2020, Lozano, Clement; Matallana-Surget, Sabine; Givens, Justina; Nouet, Salome; Arbuckle, Louise; Lambert, Zacharie; Lebaron, Philippe published an article.Electric Literature of 6197-30-4 The title of the article was Toxicity of UV filters on marine bacteria: Combined effects with damaging solar radiation. And the article contained the following:

Organic UV filters are of emerging concern due to their occurrence and persistence in coastal ecosystems. Because marine bacteria are crucial in the major biogeochem. cycles, there is an urgent need to understand to what extent these microorganisms are affected by those chems. This study deciphers the impact of five common sunscreen UV filters on twenty-seven marine bacteria, combining both photobiol. and toxicity anal. on environmentally relevant species. Seven bacteria were sensitive to different organic UV filters at 1000μg L-1, including octinoxate and oxybenzone. This is the first report demonstrating inhibition of bacterial growth from 100μg L-1. None of the UV filters showed any toxicity at 1000μg L-1 on stationary phase cells, demonstrating that physiol. state was found to be a key parameter in the bacterial response to UV-filters. Indeed, non-growing bacteria were resistant to UV filters whereas growing cells exhibited UV filter dependent sensitivity. Octinoxate was the most toxic chem. at 1000μg L-1 on growing cells. Interestingly, photobiol. experiments revealed that the toxicity of octinoxate and homosalate decreased after light exposure while the other compounds were not affected. In terms of environmental risk characterization, our results revealed that the increasing use of sun blockers could have detrimental impacts on bacterioplanktonic communities in coastal areas. Our findings contribute to a better understanding of the impact of the most common UV filters on bacterial species and corroborate the importance to consider environmental parameters such as solar radiation in ecotoxicol. studies. And the article contained the following:

In this study, the occurrences of 110 micropollutants in the surface waters and sediments collected at eight sampling sites along the middle reaches of the Yarlung Tsangpo River were investigated in winter. A total of 47 and 45 micropollutants were detected in at least one water or sediment sample, resp., and their total concentrations reached 790.2 ng/L and 186.5 ng/g on a dry weight basis, resp. Their composition profiles demonstrated that the majority of micropollutants were polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and UV filters. The mixture risk quotient (MRQ) values of the detected micropollutants regularly exceeded 1 for aquatic organisms at all sampling sites, and fish and invertebrates are the more sensitive organisms. The diversity and evenness of the zooplankton levels had a clear neg. correlation with the micropollutant occurrences in water. The top 10 mixture components belonging to the UV filter and PAH categories explained more than 80% and 95% of the mixture risk for chronic and acute toxicol., resp. This study is the first investigation of the presence and risk assessment of 110 micropollutants in the Yarlung Tsangpo River Basin and offers new insights into the ecol. security of the water resources of the Tibetan Plateau.
