And the article contained the following:

The surface chem. of colloidal silica has tremendous effects on its properties and applications. Commonly the design of silica particles is based on their de novo synthesis followed by surface functionalization leading to tailormade properties for a specific purpose. Here, the design of robust “precursor” polymer-decorated silica nano- and microparticles is demonstrated, which allows for easy post-modification by polymer embedded thiolactone chem. To obtain this organic-inorganic hybrid material, silica particles (SiO2P) were functionalized via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI-ATRP) with poly(2-hydroxyethyl acrylate) (PHEA)-poly(thiolactone acrylamide (PThlAm) co-polymer brushes. Exploiting the versatility of thiolactone post-modification, a system was developed that could be used in three exemplary applications: 1) the straightforward mol. post-functionalization to tune the surface polarity, and therefore the dispersibility in various solvents; 2) the immobilization of metal nanoparticles into the polymer brushes via the in situ formation of free thiols that preserved catalytic activity in a model reaction; 3) the formation of redox-responsive, permeable polymer capsules by crosslinking the thiolactone moieties with cystamine dihydrochloride (CDH) followed by dissolution of the silica core. The experimental process involved the reaction of 3-Aminodihydrothiophen-2(3H)-one hydrochloride(cas: 6038-19-3).Related Products of 6038-19-3

On May 1, 2020, Ye, Jianlong; Chu, Jiachen; Yin, Jian; Zhang, Yufeng; Meng, Jianqiang published an article.SDS of cas: 6038-19-3 The title of the article was Surface modification of regenerated cellulose membrane based on thiolactone chemistry – A novel platform for mixed mode membrane adsorbers. And the article contained the following:

Mixed-mode membrane chromatog. (MMC) is an efficient separation technol. for protein purification However, tedious preparation methods and difficulty on ligand d. control for its stationary phase limit the application of MMC. Herein we explored a one-pot multistep reaction based on the thiolactone chem. as a platform for membrane surface modification design toward mixed mode membrane adsorbers. The regenerated cellulose (RC) membrane was modified by the atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of styrene-thiolactone (St-Tla), followed by the amine-thiol-ene conjugation. N-butylamine/methacrylic acid and octylamine/methacrylic acid were selected as the modifier to prepare two different mixed mode membrane adsorbers, RC-HIC/IEC (hydrophobic/ion-exchange) and RC-RPC/IEC (reversed phase/ion-exchange). SEM, FT-IR and XPS results showed that the membrane adsorbers were successfully prepared The RC-HIC/IEC membrane had a statistic adsorption capacity of 73.5μg/cm2 for human IgG (IgG) under the conditions of pH = 8 and 0.5 mol/L NaCl in PB buffer. The RC-RPC/IEC membrane showed a capacity of 70μg/cm2 for α-chymotrypsin (α-CTP) under the conditions of pH = 6.5 in PB buffer. The feasibility of tethering multi functions onto membrane surface via the thiolactone chem. was demonstrated in this work. And the article contained the following:

Nearly all antibiotics are ineffective to the antibiotic-resistant bacteria New Delhi metallo-beta -lactamase-1(NDM-1), one of the most important reasons is that antibiotics can be hydrolyzed by NDM-1 in these bacteria. Up to date, Many compounds, including captopril, are found to possess NDM-1 inhibition activity. Herein we report that some cysteine derivatives or homocysteine derivatives can inhibit the NDM-1 protein, and the lead compound 9 has the inhibition of the NDM-1 protein with IC50 of 1 μM, which is about 8 times potency of captopril. The Article related to polyamide polyurethane polyoxyalkylene polyester glass transition temperature, Plastics Manufacture and Processing: Preparation Of Resins and other aspects.Quality Control of 3-Aminodihydrothiophen-2(3H)-one hydrochloride

On April 30, 2013, Keul, Helmut; Mommer, Stefan; Moeller, Martin published an article.Quality Control of 3-Aminodihydrothiophen-2(3H)-one hydrochloride The title of the article was Poly(amide urethane)s with functional/reactive side groups based on a bis-cyclic bio-based monomer/coupling agent. And the article contained the following:

Glycerol and D,L-homocysteine thiolactone – two bio-based building blocks – were used to prepare a bis-cyclic AA’ monomer (or coupler) with an ethylene carbonate and a thiolactone ring linked by an O-Me urethane spacer. On reaction of this monomer with diamines at 70 °C poly(amide urethane)s with pendant thioethyl and hydroxymethyl side groups are produced in one step. Monodisperse diamines of low mol. weight (MW), monodisperse amino telechelic poly(ethylene oxide) (MW = 897.10) and polydisperse amino telechelic polytetrahydrofuran (Mn = 1100) were used as amine building blocks. By reaction of the coupler with diamines at room temperature only the thiolactone ring is converted. Consequently, a bis(ethylene carbonate) bis(thiol) is obtained if one equivalent diamine is reacted with two equivalent of coupler. Reaction of this intermediate with a second diamine leads to poly(amide urethane)s with pendant thioethyl and hydroxymethyl side groups and alternating amine building blocks. Post-polymerization modification of thiol side groups leads to polymers with designed properties. The microstructure of the obtained polymers was proven by 1H NMR and Raman spectroscopy; the mol. weights were determined by size exclusion chromatog. And the article contained the following:

Olefin cross-metathesis (CM) is a viable reaction for the modification of alkene-containing proteins. Although allyl sulfide or selenide side-chain motifs in proteins can critically enhance the rate of CM reactions, no efficient method for their site-selective genetic incorporation into proteins has been reported to date. Here, through the systematic evaluation of olefin-bearing unnatural amino acids for their metabolic incorporation, we have discovered S-allylhomocysteine (Ahc) as a genetically encodable Met analog that is not only processed by translational cellular machinery but also a privileged CM substrate residue in proteins. In this way, Ahc was used for efficient Met codon reassignment in a Met-auxotrophic strain of E. coli (B834 (DE3)) as well as metabolic labeling of protein in human cells and was reactive toward CM in several representative proteins. This expands the use of CM in the toolkit for “tag-and-modify” functionalization of proteins. On September 15, 2018, Liu, Xiang; Yang, Liming; Luo, Xubiao; Pei, Junjun; Xi, Yu; Liu, Chongbo; Liu, Lingling published an article.Quality Control of 3-Aminodihydrothiophen-2(3H)-one hydrochloride The title of the article was A novel non-imprinted adsorbent with superior selectivity towards high-performance capture of Ag(I). And the article contained the following:

Ion imprinted polymer (IIP) technol. is traditionally used to selectively recover heavy metal ions from wastewater, but the low adsorption capacity and high cost has restricted its large-scale practical application. Exploring a novel method with high selectivity and low cost to capture heavy metals is necessary but very challenging. Herein, we first report a highly selective and high-performance absorbent via free radical polymerization of thiolactone functionalized acrylamide (named as PAM-TL). The PAM-TL demonstrated much higher capacity (145.2 mg/g) for Ag(I), which is 5.8 times that of corresponding IIP (25.07 mg/g). Moreover, the distribution coefficient of PAM-TL (576.1) was 5.1 times that of the IIP material (113.8). Furthermore, PAM-TL absorbent was also equipped with superior stability and recyclability (outstanding adsorption performance after six cycles). The excellent performance was attributed to the abundant binding site d. and the strong interaction between absorbent and Ag(I), which was determined by XPS and elemental anal. This work provides a novel approach for highly effective and selective capturing heavy metal ions, which is of great significance to actual applications in wastewater treatment. McInnis, Christine E.; Blackwell, Helen E. published an article in 2011, the title of the article was Thiolactone modulators of quorum sensing revealed through library design and screening.Name: 3-Aminodihydrothiophen-2(3H)-one hydrochloride And the article contains the following content:

Quorum sensing (QS) is a process by which bacteria use small mols. or peptidic signals to assess their local population densities. At sufficiently high d., bacteria can alter gene expression levels to regulate group behaviors involved in a range of important and diverse phenotypes, including virulence factor production, biofilm formation, root nodulation, and bioluminescence. Gram-neg. bacteria most commonly use N-acylated L-homoserine lactones (AHLs) as their QS signals. The AHL lactone ring is hydrolyzed relatively rapidly at biol. pH, and the ring-opened product is QS inactive. The authors sought to identify AHL analogs with heightened hydrolytic stability, and thereby potentially heightened activity, for use as non-native modulators of bacterial QS. As part of this effort, they probed the utility of thiolactone analogs in the current study as QS agonists and antagonists in Gram-neg. bacteria. A focused library of thiolactone analogs was designed and rapidly synthesized in solution The authors examined the activity of the library as agonists and antagonists of LuxR-type QS receptors in Pseudomonas aeruginosa (LasR), Vibrio fischeri (LuxR), and Agrobacterium tumefaciens (TraR) using bacterial reporter strains. The thiolactone library contained several highly active compounds, including some of the most active LuxR inhibitors and the most active synthetic TraR agonist reported to date. Anal. of a representative thiolactone analog revealed that its hydrolysis half-life was almost double that of its parent AHL in bacterial growth medium.
