General procedure: To a solution of 11 (0.5g, 1.75mmol) in acetonitrile (30mL) were added Cs2CO3 (2.5g, 5mmol) and methyl 7-bromoheptanoate (0.44g, 2mmol) or methyl 6-bromohexanoate (0.42g, 2mmol).
