The temperature was then raised to 240C, the hydrogen pressure was adjusted to 8 MPa, and the reaction was carried out for 4 hours while stirring at 700 r/min. After the reaction was cooled down to room temperature overnight, the catalyst was separated by centrifugation, filtration, and the solution was distilled to obtain 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol product after purification. The yield was 92%.
