The studies on the optimum conditions for the extraction of basil seeds oil by supercritical CO2 fluid were carried out. The primary and secondary effect factors on the extraction of basil seeds oil by supercritical CO2 fluid were as followed: pressure > time > temperature The optimum conditions were: extraction pressure 300 Pa, extraction temperature 45°C, extraction time 3 h. Under these conditions, the maximum extraction rate was 17.05%. The fatty acid composition of basil seeds oil was mainly composed of linolenic acid (85.76%), palmitic acid (8.54%) and stearate (5.1%), in which the content of unsaturated fatty acids reached 86.35%.
