Some 30 preparations which had shown some action against body lice were tested (as emulsions or solutions) on patients with scabies. A single application (not preceded by a bath) was used and the patients examined after 24-48 h. No live mites were found after the use of 9 of the formulations, but some of them showed objectionable features.
