Mouse was immunized with I (l = 5) (preparation given) conjugated with keyhole limpet hemocyanin by the conventional method. Splenic cells of the mouse was fused with myeloma cells to give hybridomas producing a monoclonal antibody OXM6-8. ELISA for III was performed using a microtiter plate coated with OXM6-8 and HRP-labeled II [R2 = CO(CH2)4]. The system was highly specific to III.
