In 1984,Liquid Crystals and Ordered Fluids included an article by Bone, M. F.; Price, A. H.; Clark, M. G.; McDonnell, D. G.. SDS of cas: 74305-48-9. The article was titled 《Dielectric studies of monoester and diester nematogens》. The information in the text is summarized as follows:
The permittivities of several monoester nematogens were studied in the nematic and isotropic phases at frequencies ≤18 GHz. The dielec. relaxations observed in the nematic phase agreed with theor. predictions for a rigid nematogen. Values for the nematic order parameter and the angle between the “”long axis”” of the mol. and its elec. dipole were estimated from the data, and the definition of the “”long axis”” in the mol. theory of nematics is discussed. Two distinct relaxation frequencies were observed in the isotropic phase of substituted Ph benzoates, probably due to anisotropic rotational mol. diffusion, indicative of residual nematiclike short-range order. This interpretation is supported by quant. comparison with nematic phase data, and by data on a benzene solution and the nonnematic Ph benzoate parent. Data on cyclohexane carboxylate esters reveal interesting similarities and contrasts with the benzoate esters. Recent developments in liquid-crystal materials for 2-frequency-addressed devices are considered in the context of the data on monoesters together with studies of dielec. relaxation in monoester/diester mixtures4-n-Pentylphenyl-4-pentylbenzoate(cas: 74305-48-9SDS of cas: 74305-48-9) was used in this study.
4-n-Pentylphenyl-4-pentylbenzoate(cas: 74305-48-9) belongs to esters. They are important in biology, being one of the main classes of lipids and comprising the bulk of animal fats and vegetable oils. They perform as high-grade solvents for a broad array of plastics, plasticizers, resins, and lacquers, and are one of the largest classes of synthetic lubricants on the commercial market.SDS of cas: 74305-48-9
