The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16h. The precipitate was collected by vacuum filtration and washed with ice-cold diethyl ether (2×2 ml). The solid was air dried for 2h to obtain 82 mg (73%) of methyl 1-methyl-2-oxo-2,3- dihydro- 1H-1,3-benzodiazole-5-carboxylate (EV-AP4075-001) as a white powder.
