General procedure: A mixture of 1a (218 mg, 1.0 mmol) and 2a (231 mg, 1.1 mmol) in DMF (1.5 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 12 h. After the usual aqueous extractive workup and column chromatographic purification process (hexanes/CH2Cl2/EtOAc, 10:1:1), compound 3a was obtained as colorless oil, 183 mg (53%) along with 5a (43 mg, 17%).
