(Step 4) Synthesis of methyl 3-(4-(2-chloroethyl)phenyl)isoxazole-4-carboxylate N-Hydroxy-4-(2-chloroethyl)benzenecarboxyimidoyl chloride (2.07 g, 9.48 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (5 ml), methyl 3-methoxyacrylate (1.32 g, 11.37 mmol) was added, and triethylamine (1.92 g, 18.97 mmol) was slowly added dropwise. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the obtained crude product was purified by silica gel chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate=5:1) to give the title compound (1.46 g, 58percent). MS(ESI) m/z 266 (M+H)+.
