Step 1: Methyl (1r,4r)-4-(ethylsulfonamido)cyclohexane-1-carboxylate (0635) (0636) A solution of methyl (1r,4r)-4-aminocyclohexane-1-carboxylate hydrochloride (120 g, 0.62 mol) and Et3N (346 mL, 2.48 mol) in anhydrous DCM (2.5 L) was stirred at RT for 30 min.
