The reaction mixture was stirred for 30 min at room temperature. Then Cs2CO3 (3.0 equiv) and dimethyl 2-fluoromalonate 8 (0.3 mmol, 3.0 equiv) were added. After the completion of the reaction monitoring by TLC, the crude reaction mixture was filtrated with celite and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The crude residue was purified by flash column chromatography (petroleum ether/ethyl acetate) to give the desired products 9.
