The reaction mixture was quenched with satd aq NH4Cl (10 mL) and extracted with EtOAc (2 x 50 mL). The extract was washed with water and brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated by rotary evaporation. Column chromatography of the residue (20:1 hexane/EtOAc) gave S12 (120 mg, 63%) as colorless oil.
