Description 52Ethyl 3-(tosyloxy)cyclobutanecarboxylate (D52)TsOTo a solution of ethyl 3-hydroxycyclobutanecarboxylate (800 mg) in DCM (40 mL) was added TsC1 (1.14 g) and pyridine (0.898 mL) at RT. The mixture was then stirred at RT overnight. The mixture was washed with water (2×20 mL). The combined organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under vacuum to leave the crude as yellow oil, which was purified byflash chromatography (silica gel, petroleum ether/EtOAc = 20:1) to afford the title compound (600mg) as colorless oil.
