The resulting product (0.50, 2.6mmol) from step 5, ethyl 4,4,4-trifluorocrotonate (1.7g, 10.1mmol) and anhydrous potassium carbonate (0.36g, 5.6mmol) were dissolved in DMF (20mL), and then the system was stirred for 2hrs at 90C.
